What is Essential Oils?

Essential oils made up of volatile aromatic compounds that are non-water-based phytochemicals. Although essential oils are fat soluble, these oils can do not include fatty lipids or acids found in vegetable and animal oils. Essential oils are very clean, almost crystal, to the touch and are immediately absorbed by the skin. Essential oils are translucent and range in color from crystal clear to deep blue.

At home if we squeeze the peel of a ripe orange and the aromatic remains on our hand is full of essential oils

Today many products are totally synthetic where laps have taken the essential and powerful constituents from nature’s best and reproduced them in a lab. These are not the essential oil we are discussing. Essential oils are made up of volatile aromatic compounds that are non-water-based phytochemicals.

While some value is obtainable through the manufacturing of these products it is important that at best a few of the constituents that nature has provided in essential oils is left behind and many filler materials are added instead.
